Wanting to create a rusty aged finish on the shell, I used copper due to the wide range of colors produced during the patina process.
The concept behind this project is that the '51, like the meteorite,  appears to be worthless while actually being valuable.
I gave this to my father, as a symbol of the full scale project we will someday restore.

Housed inside the engine compartment is a meteorite from 1947.  The body is formed from copper and the frame is made from silver.
